The English Capstone at the ANU offers students a unique opportunity to engage more deeply with the English program’s rich offerings in literature, drama, screen, publishing, and creative writing. As a culminating experience for English majors, this subject provides a platform for students to showcase their love of literature while demonstrating their disciplinary skills, academic rigour and creative flair. The ANU English Capstone is designed to deepen students' understanding of literature and hone their academic and/or creative skills, culminating in a presentation of their projects at an end-of-semester conference.

  1. formulate a critical, theoretical, or creative project independently, demonstrating advanced critical thinking and creative ambition;

  3. collaborate respectfully with peers and tutors to develop and refine their own approaches, fostering advanced critical thinking and creative collaboration skills; and

While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students.
