This is a practical course which aims to develop public speaking skills. The emphasis is on presenting science to a general audience. Specialist training will also be given by a professional performer to provide skills in acting techniques applicable to public speaking.

Indicative Assessment
Five graded verbal presentations on various scientific topics to demonstrate the application of science communication techniques (4x15%, Final presentation 40%; LO 1,2,3)The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students.
