This is a research-intensive course in which students undertake a self-directed research project under the guidance of a supervisor on a topic not covered in other INDG courses. The research topic is to be negotiated with the supervisor and must fall within the broad field of Indigenous studies. Time spent will focus on planning and conducting the piece of research, and on academic skills development including ethical practice.

Workload
130 hours of student learning time made up of:
a) 24 hours of contact: consultations and communication between supervisor and student
b) 106 hours of independent reading, research and writing.
