This course enables students to complete a large music project that blends composition, recording, and performance. Students continue their work on what they developed in MUSI3325 Contemporary Music Production Project to apply knowledge from the standalone skills they have learned in practical, research, and theoretical contexts during their degree to create a musical work. Large projects such as an album can form the cornerstone of a contemporary music career, but require various creative, technical, and organizational skills. At the completion of this course students will have delivered a large music creative work and accompanying exegesis. The project will critically engage with the practices, techniques and dissemination approaches appropriate to their chosen contemporary style.

- demonstrate planning, organisation and technical skills appropriate to realise the project;
- critically reflect on the project in written or oral form; and
- critically situate the project in a broader social and cultural context.

- Project Status Presentation, 10 minutes - equivalent to 1200 words (20) [LO 2,3,4]
- Completed Project and Exegesis, this will include a range of media comprising a creative project - equivalent to 4800 words (80) [LO 1,2,3,4]

Workload
130 hours of total student learning time made up from:
