This course continues to develop students' communicative competence in Italian, and refine students' analytical skills as well as their imaginative writing and speaking ability. Complex cultural, written, and audio-visual/cinematic texts will be studied critically in relation to their socio-cultural, historical and genre framework, focusing on 20th Century or contemporary Italian culture and society. Specific topics covered may vary from year to year. The course may be completed more than once if a different topic is studied each time.
The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students.
