The society and environment specialisation will provide you with an understanding of the social impact of environmental policy, and the skills to develop activities that improve the relationship between local communities and their natural environments.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:1. analyse environmental policies, programs and projects through the lens of social science;
2. critically assess the relationships between people in different social categories and resources assigned to different natural categories; and
3. critically evaluate a range of theoretical and practical approaches to the relationship between social and environmental issues.
